Leaders In Training

(15 and 16 years old) L.I.T. is a 12-14 day program that features a canoe trip through world-renowned Algonquin Park. Travelling approximately 100 km, you will test their physical strength and stamina, learn valuable life lessons, grow in your leadership and teamwork abilities, make new friends, and learn more about yourself. It is an exhilarating experience that you will never forget! These trips fill up quickly, so avoid disappointment and register now.

  • L.I.T. Canoe Adventure 1: July 9 – July 22, 2017 (14 days)
  • L.I.T. Canoe Adventure 2: August 8 – 19, 2017 (12 days)

Counsellors In Training

(16 years old) C.I.T. is a three-week program specifically designed to train our next generation of counsellors. Combining theory with hands-on experiences, the C.I.T. program helps you learn how to effectively lead groups of children, hone your leadership style, and get the inside scoop on the various camp programs. This leadership development program will also benefit you in the broader world as you grow in confidence and learn new skills.

Our three-week C.I.T. program is essentially an extended job interview if you are interested in working at Fraser Lake Camp. You will spend the first two weeks of the program learning from experienced counsellors (your C.I.T. leaders!) how to be a fantastic camp counsellor. The third week of the program you will have the opportunity to put everything you’ve learned into practice as you assist in leading a cabin group.

  • C.I.T. 1: July 2 – 22, 2017
  • C.I.T. 2: July 23 – August 12, 2017

Work includes maintenance and kitchen duties and tasks that are vital to the healthy operation of the camp. Volunteering in the supportive camp environment also helps you to develop new friendships, build confidence, and learn new skills. When your day’s work is finished, you will have opportunities to enjoy the many wonderful activities Fraser has to offer!
